The 1879-S, Reverse of 1878 Morgan Dollar is a series; a series listed as part of the Top 100 and, until the publication of Wang's book, consisted of coins that didn't exist.

When Wang published, there were 21 different VAM varieties listed in the series. With his research, the list was paired down to 15 different coins. This book covers each. Since the publication of Wang's book, four new varieties have been found: VAMs 34B, 56, 66, 67.

This book makes the identification of the coins so very much easier.
