The VAM 3 qualifies as an astounding variety, with impressive doubling on the leaves and stems located at the lower reverse of the design, as well as on the rays under the 'D' of DOLLAR. But here again, amazing doubled dies don?t necessarily generate lots of excitement among Peace dollar collectors, even though similar doubling in other U.S. coin series would translate into huge premiums. Throw into the mix the fact the VAM 3 doubled die reverse is relatively scarce and you have the prescription for a variety that quite under-valued in today?s market.
