4(revised) IV 66 D1b (Infrequent Reeding, Doubled n, Scribbling Die Scratches) (157) I-5 R-4

Obverse IV 66 - Left and right stars tripled to quintupled towards rim

Reverse D1b - The n of In set low and doubled above serifs and at very bottom. Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle's right leg and between eagle's left wing and body. Die Marker - I.R. variety 1 with doubled n of In and double vertical die scratches to right of eagle's right leg.

In 1921 there was a different collar used to strike some coins. This collar had less reeding causing the wide reeding variety to be created.
