1BG IV 1 · D2a (Die Break Left of Second L) (189) I-2 R-5
Obverse IV 1– Diagonal die crack across neck with tiny die chip in middle of neck.
Reverse D2a – Die crack thru bottom of E DOLLAR with wide and high break on left side of second L. Eagle’s wings over polished with feathers missing in middle of eagle’s right wing. Small die chip in left wreath opposite N in UNITED. Some specimens have die fill of r in trust of former VAM 1AC with same dies.


In this variety, a crack on Liberty’s neck has advanced to the point that a small amount of metal expanded into a break. Hard to find because of the size.
