This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM

31(revised) III22 ? C3l (Small Micro O Tilted Right, Set Right) (181) I-3 R-4
Obverse III22? Closed 9's in date. Bottom loop of second 9 partially filled. Date in center of lateral position with bottom left edge of 1 over middle of third denticle from neck point. Die marker? Polishing lines in cap fold.
Reverse C3l? Small micro I O mint mark set slightly high and to right with tilt to right. Slightly doubled outside edges of middle leaves in top clusters of left wreath and lower clusters in right wreath. Die marker? Double horizontal die polishing lines at inside of eagle?s right leg.

A pair of unique die scratches can be seen inside the left leg of the Eagle as you view the reverse of VAM 31 coins. This protected area preserves the markers on all but the most worn specimens and locks in the attribution quickly when present. Additionally, on many specimens, the bottom loop of second 9 is partially filled.
