Reverse C3a– Raised dots from denticles through part of N in ONE from rusted die. The 1897 VAM-3A is a late die state of the VAM-3, which features a doubled "1" in the date. The VAM-3A shows pitting in and around the "N" in "ONE." This pitting is different from the pitting on the VAM-6A, for which the pitting is below the eagle's tailfeathers On the 3A, there is no pitting below tailfeathers.
