[This coin was considered part of the HOT 50 for years until numerous discoveries made the list of 1889 doubled ear coins too large to be handled within the HOT 50 list and the HOT 50 was limited to VAMs 16, 18, 18A and 20.]

Obverse III2 34? Ear slightly doubled at right inside, top right outside and bottom outside. Date set further right than normal with 9 set slightly high. Diagnostic? Fine diagonal polishing lines between cotton bolls.
