[This coin was considered part of the HOT 50 for years until numerous discoveries made the list of 1889 doubled ear coins too large to be handled within the HOT 50 list and the HOT 50 was limited to VAMs 16, 18, 18A and 20.]

Obverse III2 24- Ear doubled at right inside, top right outside and at very bottom outside. Date set further left than normal.
Diagnostic- Fine diagonal polishing lines slanting up to left below cotton bolls.
