This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM

6A(revised) III25 ? C3a (8/7 Spike, Clashed Obverse st, Reverse M) (176) I-4 R-5
Obverse III25? Clashed die with partial incuse st of Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge. Faint tick of n next to neck from In of reverse.
Reverse C3a? Faint raised designer?s initial M from obverse above d in God. Die gouge on left side of left wreath.


A small "ear" remains at the top left of the last 8 in 1880. This small mark is the remnants of a 7 that was removed to make an 1880 dated die. In addition to the obverse over date feature, VAM-6A has a gouge in the left wreath. If the gouge is absent but you can still see the over date feature, the coin is a VAM-6, which is much more rare
