This is a Reverse of '78 (PAF) coin and a Top 100 VAM variety.

9 III2 5 ? B2e (PAF, Doubled 9, Engraved Wing Feather From 1878 S) (184) I-5 R-4

Obverse III2 5 ? Closed 9 in date doubled on left outside of lower loop. Die markers- Diagonal polishing line at 2nd lower right hair junction, pitting in LIBERTY.
Reverse B2e ? Partial broken r in Tiust. Feather engraved between eagle?s right wing and leg. Die marker- Short horizontal polishing line at top left of engraved feather area of eagle?s right wing. Same die as for 1878-S VAM-45.

This obverse die was used on VAM-9, VAM-32, and VAM-35.

VAM-9, VAM-35, VAM-39, VAM-42 all have a partially broken serif in the R of TRUST. The top portion is missing, but almost all of the shape is visible.
