This is a HIT LIST 40 coin

224 (revised) II 2 C3c (Doubled Lower Reverse, 168 Reed Count) (168) I-4 R-5
Obverse II 2- Broken point of fourth right star.
Reverse C3c- Same hub doubling but different die. Die marker: Double horizontal polishing lines between eagle's legs on right side.
Edge- Second lowest edge reeding count of 168 for Morgan dollar series.

Comparing the edge reeding to other 1878 Morgans is the simplest way to find this variety, but the attribution may be confirmed by die scratches on the obverse. One is a horizontal scratch across the top of the capband, the other is a fairly long diagonal scratch pointing down to the left in the lower hair from under the edge of the lower portion of Liberty's cap.
