The reality of the VAM 132, with its missing nostril and wiggly worm at the back of the camp has been debated for years within the VAM community. With the finding of a small pick up point on Liberty's cheek and agreement by Leroy Van Allen, the existence is no longer debated. 132(revised) II3 - B2a (Missing Nostril) (180) I-2 R-4
Obverse II 3 - Same as II 2 but die has been over polished so that the nostril is missing. Different die than 1878-P VAM-190.Markers: Curvy die scratch at back of cap above ribbon and slightly doubled bottom of E. Small 'skunk' on the cheek.
Reverse B2a - Fine horizontal polishing lines in wreath bow.
